On May 22 &23, Capital Meats sponsored the 2010 Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, MD.

The event was headlined by Blues Legends Buddy Guy and Chuck Berry and raised tens of thousands for Special Olympics, Camp Face, We Care, and Camp Fantastic.

The two day event was awesome and really put CMI food in a lot of people’s minds and bellies.

“Events like these are a great way to get involved with our community and give back to Charities that help others,” Capital Meats Owner Scott McMichael said.

Special thanks to Mike Fox, Mike Redman, Anthony Spry, Bill and Cricket Heath, Andy Long, Megan Tunney, Keith and Freya Hamilton, and especially CMI chef Steve Gordon and his catering team who worked tirelessly 12 hours a day, 3 days straight.

CMI had a large amount of “presence” with our banners everywhere, and we were constantly praised by the emcee of the event every chance he could. Everyone loved the food, especially the flat iron steak sandwich and the steak burgers.
